test
It is well known how food can affect the mental , emotional and physical aspects of a person. In todays abundant variety of processed foods and relatively new ( less than 100 years) types of foods, it is apparent that many people are affected by what they eat. We do not eat a simple diet that our ancestors ate and man’s food has changed so profoundly that many people’s digestive systems have not adapted to the relatively new diet.
In recent studies it has been identified that the body’s immune system reacts to food intolerance . The food intolerance is connected with a wide range of uncomfortable and many chronic conditions. This food intolerance is not as severe as food allergies . People with food allergy could die from it .But food intolerance symptoms can be subtle to downright painful and debilitating.
It is estimated that 2% of the population suffer with food allergies and up to 45% have some form of food intolerance.
The symptoms can erupt any time after consumption, from 10 minutes to a few days and it is difficult to identify the food responsible . In the case of an example milk intolerance symptoms can be caused by lack of enzymes or a chemical reaction and others may trigger an immune response. Food intolerance can cause an immune response, triggering the bodies antibodies. Food intolerance may be caused by weak digestion, dysbiosis, candidiasis, parasites, intestinal infections, bad diet, alcohol, or medications. The job of the antibodies is to join with the proteins in the food and be eliminated. However sometimes a person’s immune system is weak or overwhelmed, and the body cannot remove these particles and they can build up in the joints, or digestive tract to produce the following symptoms of food intolerance:
Digestive tract ; gas, abdominal bloating, water retention, cramps, nausea, vomiting, constipation or loose stools, weight issues, acidity.
Respiratory; rhinitis, sinusitis, and asthma, over production of phlegm.
Musculoskeletal ; joint inflammation, pains, muscle pains, and weakness.
Central nervous system; depression, anxiety, fatigue, hyperactivity, migraine and headache, lack of concentration, mood and behavioural changes.
Skin; excema, itchy skin, rashes, urticaria, atopic dermatitis.
The reaction can be immediate after the offending food has been consumed or appear three days after and may last for weeks .It can be very hard to identify the problem food thus it can be very helpful to observe the amount of food antibodies in a blood sample. When there are antibodies of IGg produced by the body it will show on the food listed on the test.
Once identified by the “Food Detective “ kit then a diet free of the culprit foods can help to alleviate symptoms . When the body can rest and allow healing to take place in the gut then after 3 months these foods may be individually reintroduced into the diet with care and observation for symptoms . If there are recurring symptoms then that food must be again discontinued, and be rechecked at certain time intervals.
It is recommended that all the foods showing antibodies in the test be avoided and then reintroduced after 3 months.
The test maybe carried out at home using instructions, or be made at the clinic by Ralph during another treatment.
